Does anyone know off hand if Isuzu offered a rear end with dics brakes? I just read a article on a older Isuzu that the owner installed a dics brake rear.

Thanks,
Craig

I wonder if the rear end is the same width? they made some years with Disc brake and a 44 center section. I would like to know if anyone has one and If the Width will match. The rear 44 would be easy to get gear sets for.

I rekon i just read something about the 44 centre. Its not a std gear set and its not a straight swap to put any old dana gears in it. The crown wheel is heaps thicker and the pinion takes a dana 60 series size yolk.

Theres two types of disc setups on the 220mm diff,
Disc with hand brake intergrated into the caliper. These are a 2 inches wider than your Luv/pup rear end.
Larger disc with a small drum for a e brake inside the disc. This is a better setup but its wider again over the above and in the later model V6 Trooper.

The trooper went to a 2 inch wider track in 87 but still with the 197mm diff and drums.

Bud do you have pictures of you rear? They say that the disc setup off the troopers and amigo will bolt right on to the pups. Just wanted to see if you had any visual help.

Thanks,
Craig
