i just put a weber on my good running engine. i thought the carb was messed up so i put a weber on. now when you stab the gas pedal the engine shuts off almost. if u rev the engine slowly its fine. it seems to have its power but u just cant stand on the gas pedal

sounds like acclerator pump, but its a new carb, are you runnin to lean?

Are you still running the EGR valve?
I put my Weber on my 4X4, and if the EGR is hooked up, when I rev up the EGR opens and it runs rough. If I unplug the EGR and rev it up it does fine.
I want to run my EGR. Any Ideas anyone?

Your EGR problem is not a new one, Ford in the 70s had the same problem and we would get inline vac. resricters or a vac. delay valve and install in the vac. hose,this would cure the quick opening of the EGR valve and is still emissions legal.
