Hey everyone here is my problem:
My truck's a 75 and I bought it for 230 bucks a month ago and it ran great but two weeks ago I went out to the truck and turned the key and nothing happened. I think it clicked once, but no turning over or anything. I kept jimmying with the ignition for awhile and it started. Since then i cant get it to do anything! Turning the key has no affect on anything! My left blinker works, but doesnt flash, and my headlights wont work. its weird. I hate electrical and i dont understand it too well, but here's what ive done
-replaced starter
-replaced ignition switch
-replaced voltage regulator
-checked and rechecked all fuses.
-wire brushed my connections and checked for corrosion.
PLEASE point me in the right direction. I'm think maybe the coil's bad. Anything insight would be GREATLY appreciated!
-jonathan

Try marking all wires leading to fuse panel. Pull the panel, soak all the leads in 100% lemon juice.

Could be bad contacts. OR a ground somewhere

Have you checked your fuseable links at the battery?

No I didnt know it had any fusible links. I looked them up in the index of the Haynes manual and it just talked about fuses. Thanks, I'll look.

multiple clicks means the starter solenoid is bad, one click means your starter isnt even gettin any juice from the bat.check your bat voltage. check for correct polarity, check to make sure red cable is going to starter, and black is going to ground, make sure their clean, check for the green wire from starter to ig switch, make sure its tight and clean.

No starter clicks, no headlights, no blinkers, no nuthin? If the battery is charged, then you are not getting anything to the truck. Battery cables/connections clean? I mean shinny metal clean? Check for voltage on the battery post itself, then the battery cable end, and then the starter end, etc. I'm sure you will find it missing somewhere.
Do this with the headlights on to make a load.

if you have the type of battery terminals that clamp to the wire, take them off and clean in there too. i bought a car once and someone had painted the red terminal off of the wire and the contact part got covered in paint so it had a horrible connection.

Don't you just love it when it all works out with just a little time and elbow grease? :)
