My dad and I rebuilt my g180 and it ended up costing about 1200-1300, because we bought more than we needed, and we painted the engine, the air cleaner, under the hood and bought 3 coils (because we thought all of them were wrong, well my dad did anyway. haha) bought a new distributor, points, timing chain set, gaskets, had the head planed, it was warped, had block magna fluxed, new freeze plugs installed, and cylinders honed, we bought other stuff too, but i can't think of what they are right now.
only thing we really didn't do on it was get new pistons, but did get new bearings, we didn't get a new clutch, was already new pretty much, and didn't change the valve gasket things (bad idea, but we thought they looked new, and found out they weren't after it was completely done).
Also made the mistake of not rebuilding carb, it gets stuck when u press on the gas, and rpms stick at about 1300, unless u tap the gas and then it gets unstuck and goes back down, if he didn't move to indiana we could of rebuilt it and that would have cost about another 100!!
Not very cheap, but its totally worth it because i love my luv.
