I find it funny how us un trained guys can figure out how to make their products better and more useful. And are the grease monkeys they build them for

i would have to say that i agree with you guys . it takes a AMERICANS to do it right . the way we were going to go is with the 90 tropper 4x4 stearing and just change the tie rod ends , but the center link sits on top of the pitmen arm and it got into the oilpan . Im pretty sure that with the stock engine it well bolt right in with tie rod ends [ napa # 269-2918 ] , or for sure it well fit in the 4x4s . the frame rails on the 90 tropper at the front of the chassie are the same as all the luv frames [me4surment wise , so i would say that all the troppers are the same atleast up till 90 . you must use the idaler arm as well . OR just get the box and cut the hub off the piitmen arm and weld the old luv pitmen arm on . get it done by a pro , this is what keeps you going in right die-rection , have it tig welded and you wont have any problems. hope this helps

Kelly does awesome work! I have been over to his house and seen it first hand. I need to post some pics of my 76 convertible. Kelly is going to help me with a crossmember for putting in the 4x4 5 speed I'm doing.

the steering column is a piece of work . from the 90 tropper power steering box , the shaft from the box to the column is a 2000 nisson frontier , the lower shaft is a 90 tropper and the lower housing is 75 luv . the upper haft of the shaft and housing is 67 chevy . when i take it apart for paint ill get some better pics . the pump is a 90 tropper .

that thing is looking great!
its the details like hiding the wiring and the customized steering setup that make these builds fun to follow. something a little different every time

Is that the trooper pitman arm on the PS box? or was you able to install the stock LUV on the PS Box? Maybe I have the wrong PS box because my shaft on the PS Box is larger?........Please advise and explain thanks!

Hello sdeiter544 thanks for the intrest . the pittman arm hub that bolts on the tropper box stays , then cut the luv pittman arm . remember to take alot of measuerments and right them down . pay close attention to the up and down of the pittman arm so as not to hit the frame as you turn . the best way is to have a 2nd luv pttman arm so you can get the up and and side to side correct . the pittman arm is made of cast steel not cast iron so welding is easy . BUT I WOULD HAVE A PRO TIG WELD IT . I hope this helps if not ask again and ill try to come up with the right answer .
