I had to pull my steering column out of my 93 Chevy p/u to fix the transmission selector lever spring. I dont remember where the single black wire connects to from the column wires. I think this single wire is for cruise control. Every thing else works so it has to be it. All other wiring has connectors. I've racked my brain trying to figure this out. Can anyone set me straight on this one? I have a manual but it doesn't give detail on this.

If no one gets back to you before, I will look at the yukon tomorrow afternoon or sat morning and see what I can find.

The local Chevy Dealership will give you a print out of the factory manual detail. Did I say give? Give is only a figure of speech. Plan on spending a couple of dollars. A lot of times the mechanics will tell you for free.

I had a code 32 come up on the ECM so i had to fix that problem. It was carbon build up in the intake at the EGR valve. With that annoying problem killed off, i started thinking about the cruise control again.
I was thinking that the wire had to go to the brake light switch. I checked it again and found that the wire isn't long enough. So i stretched the wire out and swept the wire lead arcing the total distance it could reach. Anything farther was out of reach. I found a connector clipped to the underdash next to the fuse block. I unclipped it from the bracket and took a good look at it and found that it had a connection on the back side. It matched the funny split-spade connector on the wire.

I now have cruise control again!
