My name is Jeff (aka 3rd LUV). I joined last February but just a week or so ago figured out how to activate my joining.
Already posted some pics in header clearance issues. I bought my current LUV off Craigslist out of Arizona. No rust, but registration was a mess. Registered as a '72 with a fake VIN, but matched the pink. CHP investigated and it wasn't stolen, but actually a '74. Gave me a new VIN then Calif. DMV registered it as a '72. Came with a 283 and powerglide that was a hack and whack job. My first mod was a Ford 8.8 posi (redrilled fronts with discs on all 4 corners), and vintage Americans. Built and installed a 350 VORTEC with 10.25:1 pistons; COMP roller with .510 lift (no machine work but only seated the valve guide seals and installed LS6 valve springs with COMP retainers and keepers [no issues]); full needle roller rockers, Assault dual plane with 750 dbl pumper, Accel HEI and HOOKER full length headers (educated guess is around 425 hp), running through a th350 with B&M converter and a B&M shifter. Got rid of the bucket seats and installed a bench seat and custom gauge panel. Next month is paint (Chevy electric blue with red pearl).
