Are you trying to keep the luv spindle and just swap over the backing plate and disc brake components? I used '81 luv (same as pup) brake components on my '75 but I swapped the entire spindle with all components on it.

It worked but the arm for the tie rod is located a little bit different so I had to adjust the toe out a bunch to get it back into alignment.

Good luck,
Eric Q.

The Pup brake rotor should bolt up flush to the hub, they are a tight fit so tighten the bolts in a cross pattern to pull the hub and rotor together.

He never told us what year his LUV is, or what year the P'up are from. Isuzu made changes in '84, and some components are not interchangeable. Wonder if that's part of the problem...

Luv is a 73. I have the spindle and backing plate off a 85 pup, the rotor off a 85 pup, I jut got my caliper also for an 85 pup. But the rotor doesn't go close to the hub off an 85 pup. there is like a 2-3 in gap??? if I knew how to post pics here I would do so

When you're composing a reply, look below the "Submit" button. That whole section is for adding attachments (photos).

Are the pics on your computer? When replying (that is, after you click Image), look for the "Choose file" button in the "Upload attachment" section (scroll down, there's more below what's on your screen).

Well, apparently you're on the right track. What KIND of file are you trying to upload? Is it a .jpg, .bmp, .gif, or what?

Since you don't know, and I definitely don't know...the error message seems to indicate you're trying to upload a file type that is not supported. The .jpg and .gif file types are generally usable on forums, but anything else may not work, depending on what the forum operator allows. On my site, I don't allow .bmp uploads, because they take way too much space.

yea idk anything about the pic files. but my problem with the truck is. my caliper doesnt bolt to the spindle like it should. one bolt is about an inch off, everything is for the 88 spindle i have. and with the caliper bracket there isnt much room for pads its almost a tight fit over the rotor without the pads.. wish i can figure out y i cant post the pics to show every1

You have posted that you have 85 model parts, and 88 model parts. Could be part of the problem...

I the problem with the brakes is the same problem with posting pictures. Not trying to flame, but you're ignoring important details.
