Making money off the legal citizen is how our government operates. Until WE get off out butts and somehow come together, and fast, we will continue to become a vanishing species. My opinion is:
Completely revamp the government at each level, federal, state, and local levels.
Any one in government MUST be an average citizen. NO lawyers, doctors, overly wealthy, etc.
Term limits on EVERY position, PERIOD.
Health coverage and retirement will be according to a standard throughout the government.
Pay is to be determined by the people through voting, PERIOD.
All governmental, presidential too, candidates will provide total/unconditional access to their personal records and history.
Any bill voted on MUST be read first. No more of this crap just voting to get home on time.
All bills presented and voted on will be for that bill only. No more caveots/additions to pass it. ie-bill to
stop smoking but has an attachment to sooth those against it that allows for saving some species of bird.
Government officials will be held to the same letter of the law the average citizen is. No special treatment.
If an official is caught doing something illegal; out of office, serve time if appropriate, and fined.
Protect our borders using our military. Yes, it is against the constitution that we can't, but let's amend it.
We spend millions just to train each year. Why not change the training to have them perform actual
missions along our borders which would help to cut our government spending and give the military real time training?
There are many more things wrong with our government, but this is just a small start. Untill we can somehow get things changed, things WILL change for the worse, for us. I beleive our government is becoming socialist and we will be squashed under it's feet.
Sorry for such a long message, but had the VA deny financing my going to MMI yesterday stating it would aggravate my exisitng condition. They put me down for aircraft sheetmetal instead. That's what caused my condition! So I too ask; Does this make sense to you?

No it makes no sense to me. I to have had a hell of a time dealing with the VA but I just got my VOCREHAB approved so now I need to go back to school. Here's the kicker...I pretty much am limited to what I can take because of a condition that could get further aggravated...the same condition that isn't bad enough to warrant surgery. A bulging disc in my back.

I was leaning on a HVAC program but that's out the window. I'm still trying to figure it out before the Oct Semester starts. Good luck with yours.

Illegal aliens, undocumented immagrants, illegal invaders. All the same crap allowed by our government as it suits their agendas. eln1972luv stated firing a shot into Mexico is an act of war. Well I say let's do it and get this underground war out in the open. Pull our troops out of Iraq and everywhere else. We are not police! Put our troops along the border and tell them to go for it. Just like in WWII when our government put all Japanese, American or not, into camps, let's round up the damn illegals into camps, take everything they own as RENT for being here, and ship them back to where they came. Ben, sorry, but you are too late as I feel we have already started down the path towards a new U.S.A. The Union of Unified States of North America which will include Mexico and Canada.
Oh and by the way, my wife works at WalMart as a CSM (customer service manager) and just remined me about wiring money:
To wire money withing the U.S. is charged by every $200 amount and still cost more than sending it to Mexico
To wire money to Mexico is around $9.00 flat rate no matter what the amount.
To wire money to any other country is CHEAPER than within the U.S.
So here we have companies pushing to get greenbacks sent out of the U.S. while letting nothing in.
Last, a freind of ours is a boat captain working out of New York and he is always telling us that he sees container ships comming in loaded to the brim. When they leave, they are absolutely empty. Import/export is controlled by our government. Make sense??????
Damn, I thought the radio hosts Walton and Johnson pissed me off with the news!

Karen, my wife, said I needed to add this. This is my current situation which I have been fighting for over two years now. Would like to get a lawyer, but there is no money involved and I can't afford one out of pocket.

FACT: Birth certificate states I am a white male
VA has me as officially being a white hispanic male
Tangipahoa Parish (a county) has me as being a deceased Spanish/French male
I still get my military retirement pay and I am up to date on paying my property tax

I have gone to the courthouse to straighten out my death and still show up as deceased. The tax collectors office is next door and states I am good for 2009. Why can't they communicate with each other (so I don't have to pay taxes?  )

Buy a copy of "your" death cert. from the county, and give it to the tax people. Say look, I'm dead, leave me alone now. :P

I agree 90% with what you said!
I don't think we should use regular military. National Guard or expand the Border Patrol like it needs to be and gie them the resources they need. The Posse Comitatus Act bill needs to stay in effect.

If you cheat, break the law, taxes or other such things, convict them, throw them in jail, and they must be removed from office. No deals!! Term limits are a must too.

Any one in government MUST be an average citizen. NO lawyers, doctors, overly wealthy, etc. I am not sure about this one. But no connections to lobby's, pacts or other suck things.

Government Housing provided during terms in office that must be used. IT does not have to be in one location, better if it was not. No special retirement and medical after the terms are over.

Normal Health coverage during term in office, there private insurance could follow them, it could be all government paid. 401k provided like in private companies. Every thing you would have at a normal job.

Government employees subject to prier review when a complaint is made. Results published, no closed door sessions. Like normal jobs if you don't do your job it will cost your job.

No czar's
Definition
1. an emperor or king.
2. (often initial capital letter) the former emperor of Russia.
3. an autocratic ruler or leader.
4. any person exercising great authority or power in a particular field: a czar of industry.

We are not Russia yet.

Theirs more,, but some do not want to here this.

What is a white hispanic male? Under the Freedom of Information Act they should have to provide the information on this. The state of Texas has the same law too. I had to get death certificates to prove my dad was dead to VA to get his headstone. All that should require is a letter. Doctors letter or form should be all that is required.
Work the system.... Just find out the holes....Ask around, check with Veteran groups... There has to be a lot on the internet. I found one for the unit that my brother was in when he was killed.

Good Luck
Post or PM me and I will help on any way I can.

Talk to the divisibility office where you are going to school. They should be able to help. (my wife worked in one for several years) It is their job to help!!! If you need a sit down job, then that might be what you will need to do, even if it's not something you have thought to do. They will provide you any tutors you might need. My daughter did that when she was going to college. One ended up being her husband 6 years later. RIP.Bryan.

Thanks for the response and I must agree with them. Bottom line is, how do we get every citizen to get on the same page and work together? We need to take our government back and 'reset' it to what our forefathers intended. That noise you hear at night, yep, it's our forefathers spinning around in their graves. They have passed up rolling a long time ago!

I agree totally, we need to get everyone to get on the same page but in these times our world is full of bleeding hearts that aren't on our page. I ended a relationship with a GF because of our severe different pilitical views. She frustrated me so bad even sex wasn't fun with her at the end. Look at the responses we get when everyone unites....as has happened with the town hall meetings over universal Gov run health care. Our elected officials get in an uproar and call us Un-American and make ridiculous claims about our motives. These are really troubling times for those of us who legitimately care about the US and have what's called a BRAIN in our head.

I'm turning you in Dog Trainer. Thinking for ourselves? We are not allowed to do that. We are supposed to be pacified and do what we are told! Kind of like your dogs, eh?

The real funny thing about that is our politicians could actually learn values, morals, sincerity and what it's like to do an actual days WORK from watching my dogs.

One big problem here.
Dogs are intelligent! They want to learn. They want to please. They are inherently obedient.
Politicians are, well, politicians! :x

Can we have our politicians spayed and neutered?

Seems like we have it all worked out. PapaG, your "two biters" can be the enforcers when we go into DC to oust the politicians, chevyluv1980 you can build the roster of who goes first because we all know if we get rid of the couple big wigs the rest will run like cowards. Then the K9's can have it at that point.

By the way...having them spayed and neutered is priceless.

Hey PapaG. Hate to say this, but when Texas secedes from the union, your'e going to see a wave of people 'migrating' to Texas. Maybe we (hell yea, I'm going too), can push all the illegals out! If you want, all of the LUVTruck.com members moving there can live around you and call ourselves the Community of LUV!

Ok, more control the government wants to have over us. The senate is trying to push the Cybersecurity Act of 2009 through. Now this isn't a bill by itself, rather, it has been hidden deep inside of another one with no relationship. This bill will give the president complete power/authorization to SHUT DOWN the internet if he deems it necessary. I believe this would be an expensive undertaking to accomplish, but with enough money and 'persuasion', they could probably do it. My feelings are, this is just another step against our rights to access/swap information. One more reason I mentioned earlier where bills should be passed for ONE item only without hiding things away.
