I read somewhere on this site that either the front or rear, or maybe both side markers were different on some years. Can someone clear that up to me and maybe show a comparison? Someone said they like one better than the other. Thanks!

I am pretty sure that 72-78 or 79 is the same however a 80 has smoother edges, thinner, and I believe some came with out the chrome bezels then of course 81-82 is different. I may however be wrong I am shaving the marker lights off my truck therefor I never really looked into this.

I sold my pilot about 2 years ago and it was in prestine condition as you see. I bought it new in 1994. It was a 1990 model (last model made) still in the box at a dealer. I bought it for $5800.00, used it for 11 years, and sold it for $8000.00!!! I only used it to hunt out of most of the time and it was a 2 stroke. LOAD and SMELLY!!! It would sit for long periods of time so I had to let it go. I intended on getting a Yamaha Rhino or something like that, but I put the money on a new truck. One day maybe I'll get something else. Right now, I'm investing in my Luv! Pilots in that condition are RARE!!! I used synthetic oil since new and I never had to re-ring it. Compression was still very well in range. But, she was my baby!!! Scott
