I am just wondering besides Toyota have Turbo in their trucks from 85 to 88, was there any other manufactures that make a trucks with Turbos? ****Not counting the Diesls!*****
My brother just bought a 87 Yota with Turbo, X-tra Cab, and 5 Speed.
Good 4x4. =)

So is the Typoon and Cyclone a version of the S-10?
Or are they a differnt model made by GM?

If anyone has any links on info on these, let me know.
Thanks!

I'm thinking that a toyota 22r with a good turbo would be hard to beat

A small block with a turbo would make short work of it.

Snag a turboed g200 or a turboed 2.3 out of an impulse and stick it in a luv with a 5 speed and a newer pup or impulse rear-end...that should do it.

Or you could put in a 2.6 with an older 2.3 carb intake...that would get up and run too.

THe impulse would be a cool motor, but it is not a easy thing to just "bolt in".

Did those trucks all come with all wheel drive?
4.3 is a big motor for a S10. =P

Yep all wheel drive with traction control, the Typhoon is fastest truck I have ever driven. :ctf2:
My SS S10 has the 4.3 in it, plenty fast for me.
