according to the ad in the info section a "mikado" had:

"full with seats upholstered in deluxe fabric, matching door inserts, carpeted floor and door kick panels, leather-like covered three spoke steering wheel and gearshift knob, automatic locking retractable seat belts, deluxe dome lamps with door operated switches, astray lamp, dual note horn, and Mikado nameplates on glovebox door and rear fenders"

Mine is. It has a/c also. If I can ever find a rebuilt compressor for less than 350 bones.

LOL! Good job. Well, my truck is a 79. And has more cannon holes in it than Saddam's palace (hehe). I plan on restoring it to factory specs after I get a few things payed off and another pile to drive.

yeah the Mikados were just a nicer intirior. There were acpuple diferent types, my 80 is an off road model(im guessing becouse i havnt seen a luv whith my type of skid plates) and it has a skid plate in the front that protects the steering and oil pan, a plate that protects the tranny and transfercase and than a plate that protects the gas tank. 8)

nice luv man. you pretty sure you can tell from the vin numbers.someone on here will be able to break it down for you.
i don't think yours is a makido. just a little extra. like on mine, i have skid plates, i have a light in my ash tray, but the thing thats are weird is there's no cut out holes for radio speakers.just one in the center of the dash. my luv isn't a makido, just a little extra 8)

Well my 80 luv dosent have all the skid plates under it like my 79 does. The paint sceme on my 80 has been erased. Man i wonder what they put in the paint to make it almost impossable to sand off! I have seen another 80 with that paint and they have alot of cool looking things inside. My 80 dosent. So still i wonder what the true specks are for a MickeyCaddoo!?!?

Yeah, mine is a Mikado (Jon Negaard). I have the carpeted door panels, three spoke steering wheel, and not much else in the form of an upgraded interior. I don't have a/c either. I wish I could do power steering though...

A lot of Mikado trucks seem to get canibalized for the deluxe parts it seems, especially that steering wheel. At this point most of the LUVs you come across have had some parts swapped or another, and deluxe parts are easy to pull and switch.

The 4x4 skid plates are standard as far as I know. All five of the 4x4s I've had all came with the plates except for one truck was missing the trans/t-case plate, but you could see where it had been there.
