sorry i pushed the caps button. i have the 79' 4x4 and the driver rear spring is bent to were it won't spring a.i. pinned the shackle to the frame and i need new spring. i also know that i can get more articulation from longer spring so heres the deal my good buddy just gave me a good set of springs out of his old parts truck a 1969 k-5 blazer 4x44 and i need to know what the spring dimensions are and if i can hang the springs in the stock location are do i have to relocate both spring hangers?

no guys seriuosly i need help with this he wants me to come get them monday if i'mm going o go get them so i need some help does anybody know if from the front mount to the axel pin on the 69 blazer is the same distance as the factory springs. i can reloicate the rear spring perch but really prefere not to move the front thanks

i am not a suspension expert but cutting out leaf spring mounts and welding in new mounting points probably is not that big a deal if you are a pretty good metal worker and fabricator. i think I would be more worried that the spring would be too stiff. full size blazer weighs a lot more than a luv. especial the rear end. i think you are setting yourself up for a very stiff ride. You also might have to do some adjusting on axel mounts and maybe drive shaft also.

The Blazer springs are longer that mean YOU will have to fab and relocate the front and rear hangers to make it work.As for being stiffer yes but you can remove a couple of leaves to soften them.All said this is going to be allot of work and if you have the stock front suspension then it is almost a wast of time and money.On a 4X4 both ends need to work with each other to be proper but its YOUR project so you get to do as you wish.
