Alow me to introduce you to my 80 LUV. The vids are of me firing the new eng. up for the first time. The carb. is bad so it is rough. This was just tonight. That is steam out the pipe. All that rain let a lot of water get down in there.
Maybe I'll have it at our next little meet. 8)

Oh and the A/C compressor kicked on when I hit the switch but I didn't have the eng. running long enough to see if it blew cold air, but it is looking good. 8)

Yea that was the first start up. I know it was a little high, I think about 2500 or 3000. I had trouble getting gas to get up to the carb and the carb is bad, so...

I'm concerned, I need to look this morning now, but the oil either was getting water in it or it was just stirred up and a little bubbly.

Thanks. It's a repaint . I bought it that way and if you get close to it, you'd say different. But it looks good from the other lane as you go buy it. :D

I drove the 80 Luv around the block a couple times today. I swaped carbs. A bad one for another bad one. So at least it would idle now.

No leaks and all fluids are staying separated! :D

AND I just noticed I have over 1000 posts now. It has been a good weekend!!!! 8)

Thanks.

Well it wasn't a perfect weekend. My Ford cost me $870 for a new fuel pump installed.

Well I fired up the new G-200 in the 78 last night. Drove it some this morning. Runs great! My oldest son will drive it to work most of this week because he has a bout a 6 mile drive each way, no freeway.

I'm not getting sound when I listen to my video. Anybody else getting sound? It might just be my speakers here, or I downloaded it wrong. :?

My oldest son drove it to work today and said it is very smooth. He said it made him realize how bad he is at shifting a stick. When the old eng. would kick and buck it was the trucks fault, now he says he has to admit it's him.

Thank you for taking the time to show some photos and the videos. Except for the long coverage of the tailpipe exhaust and the swirling around of the camera, I managed to enjoy it! Try to hold the camera still, and pan slowly. Also say a few words, ha ha, don't be shy!!!!! LOL

 Yours is a sleeper (a very nice one too) mine is asleep.
For reasons unknown though, the blue one runs a lot stronger than the white one. More than the fact that's it's a G200. :?
