what kind of AC compressor are you talking about though. theres a quite a few. i know what to do to a stock york to use it as a air compressor, but any other compressor would be kind of a pain to maintain.

Not really it's just a matter of plumbing,i have seen just about all kinds used as the hard core low buck (people like me)off roaders use them.If the comp. mounts low enough then it will still look good under the hood.

Oh i almost forgot ,the york pump(chrysler V2) pumps the fastest

I had an A/C compressor plumbed up to an old alr tank on my 79' Toy 4x4. It's common practice for many 4x'ers. I had a switch wired to the dash. No big deal. Ran it lots for 3 years. Never Oiled it once.

Hey Lee, don't you have an A/C compresser laying around? :wink:
