Real men always finish her first.

So around the Tazman's house...that ain't ever gonna be a problem.

I'm real sorry to hear you didn't already know that.

Maybe you should spend less time in your garage shootin' pictures of yourself playing with your tools, starin' at your truck scratching your head, and chompin' away on pizza....and pick up and read a how-to-manual about something a bit more necessary around your house...lol

(Seeeeee..now I bet you wished you hadn't gone there...huh?)

some progress on old blue. I seamed to have solved the fuel and electrical problem. Fuel was solved by cleaning out the bowl and main jets the slow jet was cleaned out by covering the carb with my hand while it was running to create a strong vacuum on the slow jet..I worked but I do not recommend using your hand.

electrical I believe was a combination of low voltage form dirty electrical connectors and fuse box. this caused less then 12v to get tot the carb and fuel pump relay. after this was tone the fuel shut off solenoid and the fuel pump would work.

that left the oil leak from the front crank seal. With some assistance form fulaluv i found out I could pull off the front seal without removing the timing cover. Radiator, front bumper, fan and pulleys came off New seal went in. I treated the front end pulleys and radiator to some new paint which make things look a little nicer.

I also had a productive weekend in aquiring more parts.

2 engines and a 4x4 trasmision....$200
new engine hoist.......................... $149
Having 5 engines and 3 luv trucks.........priceless.

here are some pics to put a bigger strain on our photobucket accounts

For you electrical woes go to an electrical supply house (not mine  ) and get a small bottle of D-Ox.(It's is made for aluminium wiring ) clean your connections good and smear this on it.I use it on battery terminals and they will NEVER corrode or oxidise again period.I even use it on grounds to the frame and engine.

BLUE #2 RUNS and DRIVES

I can't belive I made this truck run. When I got it most of the engine was in the front seat. Just took if for a trip up and down the street. No muffler custom straight pipe exhaust courtesy of the previous owner.
nothing like the sound of 75 hp uncorked maybe the straight pipe gets me to 76hp.

Image
Notice the cool broken windshield held in with white Duct tape no rubber at all on this windsheild

Imagehere is the cool exhaust I told you about. I threw on the little turn down tip because it was blowing straight into the cross member where the fuel pump is.

Image previous owner liked spray paint hoses were all painted gold and then black, valvecover gold and then silver of course it was all done with the parts installed and no masking. not sure what some guys are thinking while working on this stuff

Image
only good thing the guy did on this truck was find these nifty plugs to cap of the air injector on the head

since #2 is running I strated work on #3 4x4 this is going to be a little tougher. now I know what it means when you say "I threw a rod" it throws it right through the block. maybe a little JB weld will fix it.

Maybe after I get my new engine in and running I can hook you up with a running stock engine for that one.

Just give me a little more time to put a new transmission in the metro and it could be a possibility.
