found this at a new yard in town . this was in his shop where he builds hot rods and he was showing me around. i saw this and asked if that was for a luv and he said no clue was going to cut it up and use the louvers on a project. so i took it out side to the luv and walla it fits, said how much and for the $10 its mine now...this will be welded in when i strip the truck for a ground up...

Looks like the same one I have, just not chrome. Is there anything for a luv you dont run across???? I can't imagine what you would score if you were in SoCal!! 8)
You are going to weld it on??? Never seen anybody do that, and not sure what kind of stress that will put on your roof. Probably need to add some reinforcement inside the cab underneath it. I have had to take mine off a couple of times in strong winds as was moving up and down really bad.

I wish I could find things like that. As far as I know, there were no places around here that did any custom work on LUVs in the eighties. That sucks for me, because I like the old school stuff better than the new stuff.

Looks good. If you run across another one, I want to be first in line for it, if you don't use it yourself.
