Out here in Ca. it also has to do with looking like a punk kid or not. In the 80's I had a lowered 1/2 ton Chevy and got stoped twice for tinted windows
Now on my 97 F250 grandpa looking truck I have had tinted windows for 8 years and never been stoped. I probably also drive more like a grandpa instead of a punk which also makes a difference.

Yeah in my satin black luv with red rims and a red interior, the cops think its cool, they think its a nice tribute to the cars and trucks of the past, and they think its cool to give me warnings *knock on wood*

Buuut, I have a 2003 Subaru WRX that is stage 4, it does 11.5 in the quarter, and in a track race at laguna seca I passed a viper. NOW, in that car, they love to ask me how fast it is, and then give me 4+ fix it tickets on what needs to be redone. One nice officer  actually wanted to revoke my registration until I went and saw the Emmisions official at the state capitol. Eeevil cops there are. . .

And my brother is one in AZ !

Thanks for the help guys I ran across some VHT Nite Shades here the other day while picking up a fuel pump for a ford pick up. I haven't had the chance to use it yet. I will post my results later.

I used a candy red paint first to get the lenses all red then I put a touch of black paint in some clear to get them tinted. It took a few coats to get it where I wanted then I shot some straight clear. All products were PPG urethane.

I am thinking about putting my motor from the Vette in the LUV. I think I can get it to run about 9.50-9.60 on the motor. Maybe by summer. I'll be ready for you then. :D
