 Post subject: rear end

ok people thanks for all the help so far now i found a leak where the drive shaft goes in the rear axle upon looking at it i found the driveshaft moves alot and there ujoint there its moving inside the rear housingwhat could be the cause ?

Sounds like it may have a bad pinion bearing.

pull the driveshaft off the axle pinion then see if the pinion wiggles any. It could just be a nuked U-joint. If its not just the u-joint, get a 1 1/4" socket and set you torque wrench to 85lb ft. Youll need someone to stand on the brakes for you and then tighten it back up. I have done this to my truck a few times, nothing to worry about there... :lol:

cool beans i try it in a few i just got it towed back to my shop damm fuel pump went out i just replaced 2weeks ago left me sitting in the rain
lucky for me it was only about 2 miles from one of my shops
