Hey, I plan on replacing my clutch cable tomorrow evening. I was wondering if there were any tips to make the job go smooth. It looks pretty straight forward. I replaced my collector gasket this weekend and noticed that two strands on my clutch cable were broken. Figured I better take care of that now, before I am stranded somewhere. Thanks for all the info!

I can't think of any. It's pretty easy.

Did you do the cable already? I was removing the engine and trying to get the cable off the fork lever, and I couldn't. I ended up leaving it on. Now that the engine is off, I can slip it off the fork very easily, because the motor mount is out. I would suggest if you have a problem removing it from the shift fork, try supporting the engine with a block and removing the motor mount on one side. Of course if you remove the cable from up top first this would be unnecessary.

Like Aaron said, let us know...
