Tazman - I want to see some pics of that camper... soon.

Hey...I get enough of that from my wife...lol

Here's the dirty beast:

But it's going to be a slow project. I did the motor, drivetrain, inside and outside paint, and the brakes last year.

This year it's the interior and all of the electrical, but waiting for the wife to make up her mind how she wants it all done is probably going to slow me down a bit....lol

What - you kept it YELLOW??!? What's the point? :)

That'll be one heck of a camper when it's done.

Yep...I figure it will be a bit more stealthy that way when cops are around. I got it because you can pick up these old buses cheap and they are built like a tank, and I licensed it right after I gutted it, so I'm not paying to license a motor home...just a big truck, which is a helluva lot cheaper.

I have a guy coming over this summer to paint a "old #7" (think jack daniels) on the front and back, and "school of hard knocks district #1" on the side, and to finish off the paint job.

It has the old find-'em-and-grind 'em 4 speed transmission, and an electric 2 speed rear end, but the top speed still is only about 65 mph down hill with a big tail wind. And you should see the cars get the hell out of the way when it heads up the on ramp to get on the freeway...especially with my wife at the wheel.

I'm going to do all of the interior wood work in knotty pine and the electrical is all going to be both 12 volt and regular house current with a generator, so it should be fun to finish.

Then me and the wife will start goin' out and visiting everybody.

BTW ctmandu...I'm sorry for hi-jacking your thread....I owe you one now.

i think that catch can you posted up is a little "ricey" if you know what a i mean.

anyways, check out the catch can on this engine. alot of turbo guys run catch cans from the blowby that just happens in a boosted application.

you could probably find a way to make it so it self drains, so that there will be not checking and emptying of a catch can.

and yes, thats a hardcore turbo'd G200

I know this is a FAQ, but is your G200 out of a Impulse? What is stock and what is After markter (besides the K&N)?

yeah, the g200 i have is from an 84 impulse. they have flattop pistons that have a slight pop-up.

A nice aluminium/stainless steel catch tank mounted low on the firewall would solve the problem with ease.

It does have a license plate so technically it is a street truck, that sets off car alarms and makes kids cry. lol
