I know Hyperwrx between pack mail screwing me over not once but twice, then not even have a record of them ever sending it off........and the hectic holidays... and currently you plates are being used as a model so I can least have them programed into the computer for insurance if nothing else...... but I promise soon as I get the word that he can start making them I will send you yours......I know it has been a long drawled out deal but I promise I am doing everything with in my power sort of hand delivering them to you.

Crap....haven't really thought of it due to trying to help out Fullaluv and signing additional contracts. If my guy at the machine shop has the dimensions recorded I will try my best to get it out tomorrow...

Well, I'm not one much for posting on forums...more of a viewer i guess you could say. I've been dickin' with my luv since i was 15 and have had countless brain-lapses on how to get those damn fronts to 5 lugs, but I gotta say dude, you're a classic genious...a real "out-of-the-box" thinker. The world needs more people like that.

Now to cut the BSing, I've done a couple sets of Ball Joints on s10's, mainly 4WD, but I think xraydave has a decent point: don't stock s10s have circlips on the inner side of the lower ball joint? I know most setups that use that do, I.E. E/F-250s 2wd.

You would think that the weight of the car would typically push down on the lower balljoint and if there wasn't anything holding it in it's pressed location that it would eventually wiggle/make its way out. Sorry, I hope im not blowing steam here, it's late and it's hard to put the images into words but I'm pretty sure a circlip on the top side would be a great idea if not a MUST. Maybe you could shave out a 1/4" bigger ID hole ontop of the existing hole but only about 1/8" deep, then you should be able to install a circlip. Did the lower BJ you installed have a slot for a clip to go.

I'm not be any means shooting down your idea, hell, im holding myself back from calling into my shop tomorrow sick and going to the Junkyard...except for the fact all my tools are there :( . Good job being original and best of luck on production of your plates.

Well I have good news and bad news....
The good news is I just got a hold of my buddy and he said he had all the dimensions needed to make these plates. The bad news however is he is out of town meeting up with his mother who just had surgery where they removed some cancerous tissue. He said he should be back Thursday. So I have no way to get the ones for Hyperwrx until then.

Now chevyluvss, thanks for the insight. I don't really see the prob. I have never seen them just wiggle out on stock applications and I have seen stock suspension S10's running big blocks blazing up the 1320 without any problems. I have personally giving a couple of the little S10 mortal hell without (I.E. Jumping train tracks) any type of suspension failure. but since this has been brought up two times already I guess It would be a good feature to add. Better safe then sorry right? I believe they make replacements for a S10 that has the c-clip/lock ring I know they make oversize ball joints for them. If not it shouldn't be that hard to find one that would work with the S10 spindle set up. Anyone have any ideas of what would work before I start my researching again?

No it's cool...

Thats bad as hell I need to go pick it up. Thanks dude yeah I totally hunt for anything that has to do with Luv's. Redluv80 has a old sign from a local mobile home salesman that says "LUV Homes" with the Luv inside of a heart. he has it in his garage. Kinda using it like the Luv parking only signs you see on ebay from time to time. But thanks again for sharing the cover I must now go out and buy it. My subscription ran out :x

I'll order up a lower tomorrow from my SPC distributor and from like AZ and I'll see if they have the spot for the lockring. I may be mistaken, like i said im kinda goin on a hunch here on what those lowers specificly look like.

God those little s10's just get the hell tortured out of them. haha, sounds fun...

Speaking of tortured S10's There's Redluv80  He had a lowered GMC jimmy that has been put through everything. Even a fire hydrant  and was still a kicking.

god i think i had a blonde moment (I'm not blonde but im sure you all know what i mean)...did you press those lowers in from the TOP down? and do they have a small lip coming out below the boot acting as a stop on top of the lower a-arm. I feel so dumb, i've been thinking the whole time that the lowers are pressed in form the bottom UP...I'm not dumb, i SWEAR, lol! Let me know tho. Thanks Blackluv80

looks to me like the lower balljoint has to be pressed in from the bottom up. so, i think it should be just fine and dandy.

OK the ultimate ? Why is it so important to have 5 lugs on the front anyway other than rim matches.

Thats most of it, unless you can come up with larger brakes and a 2 piece hub and rotor as part of the conversion
