NOW THIS WAS A GRAND OPENING AT A SHOP IN HOUSTON. THEY HAD 2 DYNO PULLS FOR $20. HELL I WAS JUST WONDERING WHAT IT WOULD MAKE. 1ST PULL IS 1 STAGE THE 2ND IS WITH BOTH STAGES...IT DID'NT DO TO BAD FOR A 383 SBC BRODIX TRACK 1X HEADS.

Sweet, So Brodix headed 383. Is it a old school 383 (cut down 400 crank) or a new style rotating assemblies, maybe a crate engine? How much you spraying with your 2 stages? What kinda torque are you throwing down?

Cool thanks for all the info, I like the idea of building everything yourself. It is the only way your know it is right.

I will actually be building a similar engine soon. I am going to be diving into my old school 383 and replacing the bottom end with one of eagle's rotating assemblies part number ESP-B12011030 which sounds similar to what you have basically used only major difference would be the fact I am sticking with a GM block and the dart heads I plan to get from mytmouz. Maybe I can wake up the old car.

5.2's at 135mph in the 1/8 is moving it man. If my calculations are close that would mean 9.3's in the 1/4. I would love to see that mofo run in person. Again thanks for sharing all the info.

bed flex, the lower bed side in front of and behind the rear tire need to be anchored from the bed to the chassis. i just have not figured out a way to do that yet..if i weld it it will burn the paint on the other side..maybe fiberglass? glad you guys enjoyed it. i will post some pics of the truck close up in the next coming days.

How about some bent straps. They can be sheet metal, flat or round stock. Bend it to fit the bed-body and then to the frame. You can use stainless bolts, nuts, cap nuts or what you think looks on the body. Weld or bolt the other side to the frame.

Other way would to be SS cable, eyelets and a turnbuckle.

Use 3/8 tubing flatten both ends, drill and use SS button head bolts and SS nylocs it would look good and hold up forever.

TJ good one too. EMT might work too. I have seen both done. Usually before the car is painted. Body reinforcement along the outline of the panel, and across the panel for support.

"You be lookin good"

Richard.

Texas Luv bracket races. Of corse I will be way down on the V8 side

I'd sit down behind the wheel in a heart beat. Looks like it should be a hell of a ride.
