I read somewhere that a 2wd s-10 rear will bolt onto a luv. Now I also read that a 12 bolt from camaro/nova will bolt onto an s-10. So shouldnt you be able to swap an old 12 bolt onto a luv?

Seems logical, but I don't think anyone has tried it. Let us know how it goes if you decide to try it.

go for the 12 bolt. It will hold up to more power and you can get more after maket stuff ( crom-moly shafts spools lockers posis...)

I was mislead. The article that I was reading didnt mention that they had narrowed the 12 bolt. I emailed and asked and they told me they had it narrowed. Old 12s are around 54" he said.
