Just thought I'd create a spot to put a few pictures of our LUV... :)

We've recently had some inclement weather, starting with a storm last month that brought down a lot of trees, and killed the motor in Wendy's MINI - DEEP flash flood puddles are not friendly. She hydrolocked it, and it's getting a new engine. This is what spurred us into seeking a small truck. Something she could drive until the MINI was repaired, but be of great use to me after that.

Here it is in the driveway, as Wendy really doesn't like driving on ice:

You have a clean truck there. Looks to be in good shape.

We have a 2003 MINI Cooper with CVT Tranny, towbar, and brake controller. This is so that we can tow a teardrop trailer with it.

Squeeze in - it's a twin bed inside with cabinets and under-bed storage, and the kitchen off the back.

More pictures here...

Bought it!

The builder is close by, so we were able to stop by a few times in the progress and get pictures. :) He builds 8-12 of them a year, in different colors. Full time custom cabinet maker, and these are his hobby.

He does really good work, and it's based off the original "KIT" brand teardrops from the early 30's. We are members of TOW (Teardroppers of Oregon & Washinton), and if anyone is interested there's a few places I can suggest for more info. Google "teardrop Trailer" just for fun sometime...

Ours was built with lots of green inside to match the car. And has an electric braking axle... makes it easier to tow. We took it on a 2 week trip down Route 66 a while back - I'll dig up the link to the story on NorthAmericanMotoring.com when I'm not at work.
