You will want to bolt the neg to the engine block and run one from the block to the frame. Also make sure the stock ground wire is on from the frame to the body.

The stock cable has 2 wires at the battery post connector. The large heavy gage cable NEEDS to go to the block. The smaller gage wire has a ground point on the shock tower. This should cover all normal wiring circuits of a LUV but running a strap from the block to the frame will insure that you have a solid ground throughout the truck. This would be a good idea if you have an aftermarket ignition system.

The black, negative cable is off of the negative terminal of the battery. This is the one that goes to the block and frame.
The red cable goes straight from the positive battery terminal to the starter solenoid. There's also the fuse link wiring that connects to the positive terminal at the battery.

well then my truck has been
Afo engineered with some differnt cables
I have a black one going to the starter and thought i didn't have one for the negitve
well i found the Neg after i looked at it and it goes to the block
sum kinda werid green and white colored wire thats cut off
so i guess i'ma just go to checkers and buy new Battery wires along with a Haynes and some of those cool ratchet wrenches(things r AWESOME)
anyone need anything while i'm there?
