We need to create a sticky on wheel configurations for stock and S-10 axles.
Ford 9", Dana and the 12 bolt crowd are on their own cause they're planning H.P. so it's too custom for each build.

If you want to start a thread with this info in it, I will gladly make it a sticky.

Problem is that we will have so many sticky's we will need sticky's for the sticky's.

You can go with a ten inch wheel and tire with an 8 inch backspace if you want to get the most tire under the truck. If you want to go with an eight inch wheel and tire, you will have more room to play with so you can go with whatever looks best to you. The way to measure for backspace is to take you wheel and lay it on the ground with the outside facing up. Measure from where the lugs bolt on, to the ground and that is your backspace. The picture you posted is an excellent way to measure it. You have 10 1/4 on the inside and 4 1/2 on the outside of the brakedrum. 14 3/4 total inches gives you plenty for a 10 inch wheel.

You can put a 15" wide wheel if you want it to stick out- I wanted it all tucked under.

I really dont think I could put a 10" wide tire under there and have ti all snug. I say that because I have about 1/2" before the tire hits the frame and I have about 1/2 before it extends pasts the fender.

With a 10 inch wheel with an 8 in. backspace you will be under the fenderwell about two inches and the distance should match up with the front. From the side you won't be able to tell you have a big tire unless you move up toward the front, or of course from the back.

I understand your explination but the fact remains- I have no more room with my wheel tire setup regardless of what you type. That's the plain fact. I am looking at it and no matter how many times you calculate it out there is 1/2 to the frame and about 1/2 to the fender lip.. and thats a 15 x 8 rim.
