Someone had a Hooker setup they wanted to sell a few weeks ago. He did not get his reserve on ebay. Do a search, but I am not sure if it was in auctions or classified section here.

Good Luck
Richard

The early datsuns were nice looking trucks too.

The ebay item number for the V-8 kit that came with mounts and headers is #140064853309. He had a buy it now price of $300. Bid only got to $202.50. He is from Shelby, N.C. It is also under auctions/wrecking yards. Fast77luv is the guy who has them for sale. Good luck.

Are you sure that these parts will cleanly work with a Datsun? I can't remember seeing a 610 Datsun with a V-8. Thinking back, those trucks were a bit smaller than a LUV so getting a V-8 fitted to it could be a real pain.
I'm not hammering you for getting a Datsun mind you, the 610 is quite stylish. It's just that it could be a ton of work and modifying to get it all in place. Just make sure that the LUV stuff will actually work with the Datsun. I'm having thoughts of the motor sitting too high up and you having to install a scoop to clear the engine. That look of the stock hood on the Datsun aids in it's sleek design.

actually the engine compartment is approx the same the only difference it there is a bulge for the heater box. I am just going to smooth and fill that. as for height the front is almost identical to the luv and as for clearance i was going to make a cowl hood for carb clearance issues.......da*m if they had have made a luv king cab i wouldnt have to do this

The larger 3.4 60 deg V6 would work if a V8 is too tight.

A Luv king cab would "tight"

I have seen a lot of little VW pickups made into king cabs and crewcabs. but they have the 2- 4 door rabbit and 2 - 4 jetta to work with.

I would start with a long bed truck frame and short bed. Then let the sparks fly...

Sorry guys, I got the conversion kit and the truck he was selling with it. Just picked it up last night. Had a hell off a time getting the r/f brake unfrozen before I dragged it 50 miles north to my house on a rented dolly. Totally worth it though. The body work is already done. All I gotta do is get a drivetrain and stick it in. I'll get pics as soon as I can of it
