Barstow motors keeps sending me this parts list.

http://www.hostingmojo.com/ben/Chevrole ... 20List.pdf

I've tried asking them about what the columns mean but they don't reply to my emails. They just keep sending the list. ??

Anyway, if someone has a way of finding out which column is the part number and compiling a list of what they have, feel free. From looking at the description, I think most of the stuff is going to be low demand items, but you never know.

Ben

I see some switches and hoses on there.

Maybe I should drive to Barstow?

OK, what you got here is a history of past Isuzu part numbers that were available at one time.
That is the obvious conclusion.
Group #s by location in the reference manuals provided thru the parts books.
I will tell you MOST definately that what you have here is obsolete part #s that were once available at the time these trucks were run.

I just checked 5 and they were long gone!
I checked 2 others and they were still available; Maybe!

What he might have is a list of #s that they might have NOS from an old stock parts buy from an old depleted stock that was once a fledging dealership. That occurs! I know; I knew a friend who bought up that stuff years ago.

If he has ANYTHING of value, I doubt he will have all that will be needed to supply a rebuild of carb parts, etc as offered.

If someone needed a specific part he was missing for a specific rebuild, maybe that will be of some substance.

Good luck with your findings!

Last add:
NY got lots of surplus parts not common in the midwest and west coast; thus the reason why most NOS discontinued parts surface there. RUST was the reason, and useage was the other. These vehicles were used!
I have seen a pattern of continuity that exists in excess surplus stock existing in NY; so for this guy to posess some of this , to me...is not all that surprising!

Well, lets find out what he's got. Maybe he has 100 dome lights and 100 shift boots, and 200 new dashes.

I can dream can't I?

I looked at most of the parts, some of the numbers come up as parts interchangeable with S-10's (mostly snap rings) but allot of them are discontinued part numbers without any description.
