i was headed into town for work today and i stop at a light and my truck is steamin all over. so i pull into a parkin lot to see what up. pop the hood and theres coolant goin everywhere. so i look at my top radiator hose to see if its screwed up. so i take it off real fast it looked okay. so i put everything back together and head back on my way, and it boils over again. so this time i though it was the hose that goes from the front of the head to the intake.

so i said screw it and drove to my parents house to check it out more. i puled the long hose that goes to the head, and it was fine, and i out a new upper hose on it along with a new thermostat, and gasket, and it still leaks like crazy and boiled over.

then i got to lookin closer and it was steamin from a hole right next to the head. so the damn thing blew out the gasket around the coolant passage. so i got it home after work and pulled the intake to find this...

niiiice. :x

so i put some new gaskets on the thing and it runs, but im not sure if its leak proof now. i don't have a spare water neck gasket, so ill have to wait till tomorrow.

i did clean it up little bit though...

Nice gasket there ! At least you isolated the problem and it is an easy fix, no cracked heads or anything like that !

im not sure what all id need to run it. id use a megasquirt system for the fuel and maybe spark, but i dont know what else id need. itd be cool with a nice turbo.

anyways, the truck is up and at'em again. for some reason it runs alot cooler now and the heater is super hot, so, i dont know.
