My 80 LUV has broke two (and I think the third is on it's way) distributers in the last couple months.
My question is, is there something down in by the oil pump that is supposed to be squirting oil up to the dist.?
The 1st one, the shaft broke just under the weights... The 2nd (used) got real tight. I think it was in prossess of seizing up the bushing. ... And now I think the third one ( used) might be doing the same thing.
I wonder if the eng. guy left something out during the rebuild, or is it coincidence on the old distributors.
When I pull them out the shafts are oily.?.?
