I should have info on this tomorrow. I think it is a high quality piece and I think it was $120.00. As usual it is good to meet members, I have not a bad feeling from anyone I have seen in person.

Did your son enjoy his ride on a Harley?

thanks in advance for sharing the carpet info. I am abought to make some carpet decisions. Here are my questions if you don't mind.

1. did you do a molded kit or non molded kit.
2. Did you put down any sound proofing or padding.
3. Did you attached it some how? Adhesive, velcro? Duct tape
thanks
Dan

It is a molded piece, I opted for no shifter hole and it has padding glued to the back of it from the factory. I did notice they were nice enough to leave 6-8 inch's long on all sides so you do need to trim it to fit. I did not glue it down, the seats and factory hold downs worked perfect to hold it in place.

I will help anyone who I can as far as the carpet kits go. The shop has been doing work for me for years and I trust them, so if anyone has trouble on the phone with them just PM me and I will help free of charge. CTMANDU has seen the carpet kit in person as well as the rest of the interior they did for me, I would not recommend them if I was not happy with them. By the way like I said I will not be making any money on the deals, just helping a friend out with his business. My wife owns a State Farm dealer and her office has insured him for 20 years.

didnt get to call but he said they told him $172 for full carpet, here is the company link below. it didnt look like they charge extra for colors so any color looks like it will be $172 they do charge extra for mass backing (not sure what that is) but not for polly backing

I found a seller on eBay listing a chevy luv molded carpet. I contacted him, worked out the details of 80/20 loop and charcole gray in color and I walked away spending $160. I have yet to take it out of the box.

I restore older VWs and have follow this proceedure always.

1. I put down a nice thick coat of black spray in bed liner.
2. I then glue down some form of insulation padding that serves to deaden the sound and insulates the cab somewhat.
3. I then glue down the carpet over the insulation.

I have found the yellow carpet glue you apply with a paintbrush that can purchased at your local hardware store works great for adhering all auto floor coverings.
