Here is the list as I recall it

Flywheel, pilot bearing
Clutch disc and pressure plate (new clutch kit)
Tranny
Driveline
Clutch and brake pedals
clutch cable and hardware from a 78-80

If you had a 76-77 trying to do the same thing the only part that would be different would be to change the cable to the master and slave cylinders and lines. It is easier if you stick to cable for a truck made in the 78-80 range though, or you'll be swapping more parts out.

The carb wiring is a little different so you may have to get a little creative there. Your carb may be missing the coasting richer solenoid for one, but it is optional. The wiring for the reverse lights should be pretty much the same though.

Hi there, My son is swapping in a 5 speed and he has a good 4 speed coming out but it is 4 wheel drive. Not sure if it makes a diference.
He will more than likely be selling the 4 speed and cables assembly and such. I am in Jeff City not far from you.
Always easier to go back to the same one I guess that came out.

Can you do a reverse of this swap? A friend of mine uses a 75 LUV for stereo competition, and it is trailered only. Taking it on and off the trailer would be much easier with an auto trans. Will a TH200 bolt up to the 1.8L Isuzu motor?

Would be easier going to auto from manual. Just get a tranny, tranny cooler, shifter and console. Not sure might have to change drive shaft lenghts. But indeed it is an easier swap. Not sure if your raddy will have the transmission line hookup. Would have to run a kickdown off your carb also.

There is no need for a cooler or kickdown, it goes on and off a trailer, occasionally sits and idles. Will the TH200 bolt up to the 1.8L isuzu though?

thanks. Are there only certain ones that will bolt up? If so, what kind of vehicle do I need to find one out of?

As far as I know, the only trans that will have the right bell housing pattern will be one from a LUV.

I would keep the automatic. You don't see to many of them I think it makes your truck cool and unique  that automatic makes your truck the luxury version of the Luv.
