With 2k, you can do the conversion. You may not be able to go all out with it but it can be done. Look in the information section of this site and read the V-8 engine swap article. This should give you a good idea of what you need to do.

well, you can get motot mounts and headers, from jegs or summit, you will need to upgrade the radiator, its a pretty easy swap you will have to cut your old frame mounts out weld the new ones in,its best to get a transmission with a short shaft, you will have to modify your driveshaft. thats about it

well i kind been doing a lot of reserching and thinking. im planning on just rebuilding my 20R and get new brakes set up, paint job (looks really ugly right now), wheels and tires. better radiator, and maybe a diffrent or better or larger gas tank. what u guys think. because that wll i think i can afford at the time

About your brakes... Might i suggest getting the disk brake setup from a later model truck? It's well worth it! Find a later year Luv in a wrecking yard and follow the directions from the disk brake swap article in the information section of this web site. I did the swap on my truck last summer and im glad i did! It's a easy job to do and you can pitch the front drum assy's away for good. They're a pain in the ass to deal with and you have two wheel cylinders per wheel that can leak. The parts from the wrecking yard only cost me 40.00. The new stuff from the parts store cost me alot more but i went with new disks, remanufactured calipers and i opted for a new master cylinder because the one i had on the truck had a heavy amount of dirt in it. I went all out but you can get by cheaper if you rebuild the calipers yourself and flush out the master cylinder. It's something to look into. It's well worth the effort and money.
