That is the G180 performance sticky, I think any questions you have on it can be helped out in there, err, its a start at least :)

Well by any stretch of the imagination, or a good guess haha, I would say that the G200 combustion chamber is larger, so better flow for the G180. . . I am sure another one of these gent's will jump in to prove me right or wrong . . .

Simple mathematics a larger combustion chamber means more cc's =lower compression. The air flow wont do you squat with a stock motor with lower comp. You need to either find a g180 head or pistons to get youd comp. back to a min. of stock and a little more would help as comp. helps make torq. and effientcy.

hmmmm but would it work if he were to turbo the motor?? lower comp would let you run higher boost= more power, but then you'd have to make the bottom end stronger to handle the extra strain of a turbo

Running boost would be the only good reason for a G200 head on a G180, well other than it was what was available and it kept a good truck out of the scrap heap.

Running a turbo on that set up would work real good and as for the bottom end new bearings and oil pump would work as long as you use some common sense and remember it is not a full on racer every time you start it up.
