i went to pull and save up here in spokane for a replacement strut for my brothers car when i saw a luv flatbed. it had really nice almost new lookin tail lights sittin on the bed and a very nice mikado steering whennl. i didnt have the money at the time so i figured i would come back the next day. well when i returned they had decided that row of cars was all tapped out on parts and sent it to the crusher. i was a little dissapointed but crap happens

As Long As You Have None Cracked Tail Lights You Can Have New Shiny Looking Ones Easy, Just Lightly Scuff The Tail Lights W/ 2000Grit Clean Em Then Spray Them With Clear Coat. Thats What I've Done With Mine And You Can Tell A Diff From The Ones I Have And Haven't Done.

What Would You Give For A Good Looking Mikado Wheel....I Have One But I'm Going With A Diff One

Needs Cleaned

But Anyways Its Always Sad To See Anything Worth A Damn Going To The Crushers But I Have Sadly Aided RedLUV80 Send A Many Of Cars To The Crushers.....Nothing Really Worth Anything....But That 2 Door Galaxy 500
But I Had No Say It Wasn't Mine, I Asked Him Like 10 Times Was He Sure.
But Anyways

Lemmie Know Something

What a bitch. Wrecking yard owners need to be informed there's a cult following the LUV. :o

In that situation you need to talk to the office of the place and try to get them to hold on to it for a week or so.

blackluv80...hats off to you.....I saw what you did with your taillights so I did the same to mine....they look awesome now. They were so dull and wash out looking. I sanded them with 2000 grit paper and then hit them with some duplicolor wheel clear and they look better than new now...even brought back the color! Thanks for the tip! Greg

Yeah A Little Trick My Father Showed Me Years Ago, He Has Had A Body Shop Since 1972. No Me And My Brother Run It. We Normally Charge About $50 To Restore A Set Of Tail Lights. But The Trick Works. Glad I Could Help, And That Everything Turned Out Well.

Maybe we should communicate with the front office more. No doubt the wrecking yards would hold off on the crusher for one day if they knew it would bring in revenue.

It does seem stupid that a car would be crushed with a good carburetor there for removal.
