I got some friends that pass along to me numerous religious chain letters. The thing about it is that they know that they're sending them to a dead end (me).
I don't pass these along to others for 2 reasons: 1) I don't believe that the way to eternal salvation is thru the Internet. And 2) I don't have enough friends to complete the directives of those letters. And if i did, i wouldn't try to force-feed them on this concept.
"Send this along to at least 10 people you know". With exception to those of us at LuvTruck, my family and long term friends i've made over the years working all across the country, The only ones left are the chain letter bandits.
They have the idea that even though they send me these letters, they're able to meet their quota. And as long as their quota is met, they get to go to heaven.
But knowingly sending a letter to a dead end defeats the purpose, doesn't it? Writing a check to the electric company, sticking it into an envelope, putting a stamp on it and deliberately throwing it into the garbage can will get your power cut off.
I don't think the power company would care how many checks you've written. If you cant follow thru with correct actions, it's a waste of time.

I'd like to find the person that has taken upon themselves to start these letters. I would like to talk to them first, then get on their case about how nice it is for them to be the first link of the chain and not have their mailbox not fill up, and them take a sledge hammer to their hard drive.

It's very simple... There's 10 commandments, follow them. Keep your conscience clean and help other as least as much as you help yourself...

Thank you all for letting me vent my frustration.....
