As you know I have been working with my carburator for a while and I just got the float needle valve assembly replaced. It statrted running the other day and the next day it did'nt. So, I got a shop manual for my truck and it says multiple things that could be wrong. The carburator seems fine it just does not start. The starter cranks and it acts like it wants to start and I can try to keep it going but when let go of the throttle, it stops. If anyone can sell me a good carburator for cheap, maybe I can work soething out. I'm low on money and I am still in highschool. Thanks for the help.

Try capping off all the vacuum ports on the carb and intake manifold except the spark advance and then try starting and see what happens

What happens when I cap them off. There are already some of the hoses at the bottom of the carburator are plugged with screws and I don't know where they go.

heres how the vacuum lines should look if you bypass everything.

this one i'm pointing at a broken fitting you can plug off and the line to the right of it goes to your vacuum advance.
