cool deal.

had a guy tell me about his setup. he said that he uses a boat gastank in the bed. then has that hooked to a GM truck tank switch. like the switch thats on the dual tank trucks. he says it seals the gas off completely when not open. anyways, then hes got a 3/16th brake line in the pipe thats been hammered flat to make a nice spray, and just a universal fule pump. wire it up so the switch valve opens, the fuel pump pumps, and the ignitor system is on and he says that it makes bigtime flames!

oh and an update on my system...

im gonna redo the exhaust on it, so i dont have a my crushed downpipe, and so i have a little bit bigger intermediate tube and then a big boom tube at the end with a poo load of spark plugs. ive got a v6 distributor so im gonna have at least 4 plugs in the pipe. i was thinkin like 2.25 pipe off the headpipe back to the end of the cab, and then expanding it to 2.5 inch right out the side of the bed in front of the drive side rear tire.

i think itll sound and shoot flames pretty well!

took a pic of the plugs that i have in my tailpipe. i took the end part off yesterday and welded the plug in the pipe. i had some fancy lookin plugs in the pipe before, but they were those non adjustable gap plugs. so i have some regular normal plugs in there now that are gapped like a mofo!! you can see the light from the sparks at the end of the pipe when i have the setup runnin with the engine off. it lights off alot faster now with the super plugs in it.

ill have to get another video of it one of these days. it pretty cool lookin!

anyways, heres the pic...

mkay, i tried my best to make a video on my own. its kinda hard to work the truck and the camera at the same time.

these are just flames from runnin a wee bit rich and pumpin the pedal while its runnin.

theres no sound and the video is kinda short, but youll get the point.

well i finally have some more vids of the thing. they were taken with a razr phone, so they arent the best, but it gets the point across.

i do have some news about the system though. i was doin some hard drivin today and hit 2nd gear real good and the end part of my exhaust fell off and i ran it over. i busted all the plugs in the pipe, and bent the tip closed.

so no more flames unless i get a new exhaust system, and i dont see that happening now that i have the luv. but dont be sad. this setup along with a separated fuel system might end up in the luv...

Bummer

But ....Flaming LUV eh...That'd Be Cool....Ive Thought About Building One Using A Cheap Taser and Spraying Some Good Fuel Through It With A Pump From A Small 1 Gal Tank....It May Work...Then Again It May Blow Up And Kill Me

Fun Either Way....lol jk
