I bought and installed the same dash on my LUV.

Now on the speaker grill what I did was got a old grill and where the posts for the clips are I had to take a set of dikes and cut them flush. Next I drilled the old grill where the posts were to about a 1/8 inch hole. I then centered the pattern grill on the new dash and drilled the holes. I then got my good grill and used liquid nails on the edges and the posts and used a few phone books to hold it down over night(you must have noticed that the new dash is quite of bit thicker then the stock one).

On a side note, cut the radio hole and modify the face plate trim before you install the dash (please don't ask why). All in all, I would buy this dash if I was to do it again, the total install took about 1.5 hours. I did a rough trim on the cluster and glove box area and did the final trim with the dash installed.

Hey Ctmandu,

Where'd the dash come from?

I just put a cap on my Luv and it looks great. I also painted the cowl flat black, which gave it a cool look.

I knew you would. I was cutting the dash area for the radio and was not paying close enough attention and the mandrel from the dremel touched the raised area above the dash and scratched it. I can't even tell you how mad I was at myself. I was able to fix it with some shoe shine wax.

Still need pic's? I can get them posted tomorrow if you do. Did any of my babbling help you out so far?

Like I said the dash is thicker from the stock one, it is not perfect but I am happy with it. It does really help the interior look finished.

back when i ordered my dash from a place down in CA they had me send the speaker cover down to them first. I guess they have a way of pouring the mold around the cover so in the finished product its fixed in place. maybe thats something the Aussie firm should look in to
