Weld Draglite wheels don't come in 6 lug so I am forced to use an adapter to get to a 5 lug standard on my 2 front tires (rear 2 are on a s-10 10 bolt 7.5 rear end so I'm ok there).

Anyone around have a reputable online store they've bought these from?

Best I have found is $99.75

http://www.adaptitusa.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=138

These adapters are 2" wide so my front tire will be pushed outward 2". I offset this by getting my front wheels with a greater (deeper) backspacing?

Anyone know what stock backspacing is on the front rim of a 77 Luv?

Thanks in advance. This forum has helped me so much.

bummer, Weld used to make 6 lugger drag lites cuz i used to have some. I would consider a different brand of wheel. Weld should come back out with 6 luggers because a lot of todays trucks and SUV's have them.

Actually if you use the spindle and rotors from an earlier Toyota they will bold right on the luv trucks. I used to have a set on a 74 luv drag truck. And it will give you a 5 on 4 1/2 lug patern like a ford. Good luck with the project.

I do not have any pictures of the build. All I have is one of the truck almost finished. And I have no scanner. The toyota truck was early 80's.

the problem with the adapters is they will make the wheels stick out about another 1'' or more

Mine came in today and I went out and 'tried' mounting them. You are correct.. they look terrible. I have a 5 inch Wild Drag lite rim even and they're still sticking out so far I wont use them. $150 down the drain.

DAMN IT

Thats if youve got drums on the front. if youve got discs you cant redrill.

I wouldnt use spacers they load up the studs too much.

Rodeobob, the stock rotors on my truck are drilled for the 5 on 4 1/2 lug pattern. It's a 2 piece hub, one of the new lugs goes through the outer edge of the bolt that mates the two halves. It's not in the shank of the bolt so its not causing a problem. I don't think I'd try to use the more common 5 on 4 3/4 pattern as you will get into more of the bolts.

i know moser won't redrill .

T.J. white has 1994 toyota rotors on his , but these will take extensive machine work to make happen . They are not a bolt on by any means.

I would be interested in hearing the "early 80's toyota rotor swap" .

This leaves Aero space and ? . I guess they are the only bolt on swap.
