Hey guys,

I troll the boards, looking to see what is new in the LUV world. It seems that a lot of people are throwing attitude around, even to people that are new, or have some sort of computer illiteracy. Don't make a saint out of a sinner, but come on, these people come here for help and when they get attitude, that makes this place a little less habitable.

I also noticed a few members that have literal problems with eachother due to a bad deal, heck I have had a few bad deals on here myself. Press on, move past it. We are all here to learn more about the trucks we love to wrench on and talk about.

I think from here on, we should have a "Leave your drama at the door" policy. Maybe I am just ranting but I feel truely that there is a lot of bad vibes goin on, so if you want to have attitude take it to another place.

"Can't we all just get along?"

My .02,
-A

No Ben, no offense to you sir, with all due respect, this board is great. I was on a board for Subaru WRX's and I ended up leaving because there was so much drama going on, but the few people I do talk to on here have had an experience, and since this is such a small pool of people, we all come in contact with eachother again at one point or another. So what I am really trying to say is, we are in a small pool, but don't pee in it, kids  .

Agreed...Ben has done a very good job, together with his staff, of providing a one-of-a-kind kickass place for all of us Luv addicts to hang out at and share with each other...so the least we can all do is behave like civilized adults.

So...if you've had a bad experience with someone here...FFS just go somewhere and have a good cry and get over it.

If you are in a fowl mood...log off and take it somewhere else.

And if someone here is new and has never owned a Luv or picked up a wrench before then lead by example...pitch in...and help them feel welcome and to learn.

We were all novices at one time...so leave your ego at the door.

I have been on lots of sites - some like this one - and some about other topics....but this site is a lot more civilized and user-friendly than the majority of those found elsewhere...and I for one would like to see it stay that way.

Add my $.02 to the pile.

 The phrase you are looking for those who seem to be the only one with problems is BUILD A BRIDGE AND GET OVER IT. Dose that help? I really enjoy this site and for one would like it to stay as is. :)

I read this post and I had to wonder what I had missed. I try to read most every post, and I just could not think of anything recently that involved any real attitude problems. This board is so laid back for the most part that I can't think of any good examples of anyone throwing their bad attitude around for quite a while. The rare times it has gotten to that point, the recipient of the bad attitude has usually been someone who came in demanding answers without wanting to put out any effort to troubleshoot their problem. In those cases, I don't begrudge someone for saying "we can't do this for you, you'll have to get off your backside and do a a little work".

If you do have some examples to point to, especially if you've seen any attitude in any of my posts, let me know. PM me some examples if you like. Maybe I'm just so used to seeing the crap on other boards that I completely ignore it here. I really think we've got a pretty quiet helpful bunch of people here, and any rough talk is mostly done in fun. So many other boards are filled with whining, BS, and ego that I suppose it can be easy to forget it isn't needed here and some slips out.

Im sorry but for your views we shall ban you...
Serriously though, there will be clashes anytime you get people together, especially if they dont have to meet face to face. This board generally is one of the best i have been on. If you want to see newbee bashing head over to Pirate4x4.com. Then you will see the hick-ups we have haer are nothing realy...

Heh heh heh...what a septic tank.

Another good one for that kind of stuff is a MMA fighter site called Sherdog.com...the little punks on their forum are just freakin' brutal to all of the newbies.

Funny how most of the wiseacres that mouth off over the net or the phone get real polite when you meet them in person.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!

Been there...done that.

About 3 years back I had a nice mint condition "71 Buick Riviera boat-tail...and I went on the online to replace some small chrome trim pieces and the caps for the center of the stock Riviera mags...and this guy sent me some crappy looking rusty scratched up stuff that was worse than what I already had...and was quite the wise-ass keyboard warrior about it all...untill I tracked him down with the help of a old friend that lives near him.

Let's just say his mood changed considerably when me and my buddy showed up at his favorite watering hole and invited him outside to the parking lot to chat about my refund.

Cost of bad parts...$120.00

Cost of driving to an old friend's house and buying him a beer for helping me out....$50.00

Seeing that little scrawny rotten-toothed crankster-lookin' loud-mouthed prick punk out and give me back my money in front of his friends and his "woman"....priceless!!

Lmao!

Like my old man used to say when I was just a kid to anybody that tried to rip him off:

"There's only two ways we're going to settle this - there's justice...or just us."

I dont think this place is bad at all. Like many said, people arent always going to agree on things. I hung out on olskoolrodz for awhile and it seemed like people were getting posts locked or deleted daily. Its like theyre on attack mode. Ive thrown down a my share of whining and back talk. Nobodies perfect and weve all got our own oppinions.
