I am tring to finalize all the loose wires on my V-8 swap and was wondering if anybody had any info on hooking up the power wire for the distributor. I also have not figured out the alternator wiring.

Power to the HEI is 12volts direct from the ignition switch. The alt you can look up wiring on line,I prefer to use the delco single wire alternators as the wiring is a no brainier and every thing is in one neat package.

So 1-wire alternator hooked to the red wire and nothing else? Any color wire on the ignition switch ? Just splice into it?

HEI dist. require 12V so you need to go from the ign.switch ign. post(engine run) to the dist.From the alt. use a 10 gauge wire to the battery post on your starter.This way you will have battery voltage to your alt. at all times just like the factory dose it.
