Overland Park ks, north bound on 69 highway got off on 87th street turned on Neiman.

Blue LUV not sure of the year, it had single head lights and pull latches on the side of the tail gate. I am thinking it was a auto because I did not see the guy gear shiffting. Exaust was on passenger side, spare was under the bed.

This is the first confirmed luv sighting in the Kansas city area for me.
It was nice to know I am not alone. Sadly I was in my Stratus and running late or I would have kept up the pursuit.

The LUV Stalker strikes again.

It sounds like it was pretty stock. Must have been a 77 - 80.

I would say fairly rare as I have only seen a handful of long bed chevy luvs even to begin with...didnt see many even back in the day....back in the early 1980s. Add air to that...nice!

I've seen three in person since the 80's. Stock ones anyway... 1 I own, Luvnit's and a guy I raced against in about 1989...

My aunt and uncle bought a new one in 80. White Mikado short bed auto, I think with air. They gave it hell for about 15 years and the I think it got wrecked. :x

It belongs to a friend of mine going to school with me here in OKC.

it's a 1980, 1.8L
4 speed manual, not auto.

He got it for 50$ and tuned it up. Currently it's in my garage here in okc and we're fixing the brakes.

Current plans are to give it a cheapo paint job in my garage to make it look half decent, and then swap over to fuel injection wth megasquirt and eventually add a turbo, depending on how the engine responds to the stuff we have. More or less a toy, just to see how fast we can make it for cheap... can you say sleeper?

Kinda a bad deal though, because my svo is outside and the crappy luv is inside the garage
