all green dash lights dont work. NOTHING. ive checked most of my wires and i know that my switch is working and i have pwr to lights y dont they come on. you would think that they are blown but every light is blown at once~!!! thats a little od i think?

Check your fuses and fuse block. That's the weakest part of a LUV electrical system. It's possible to have a major short in the wiring somewhere but i have to think to start at the fuse block.

There is one fuse in the block for the "lighting switch" that could blow and take out all of the lights. Check that out and see what you find. Also, when you look at the fuses, don't assume they are good if they look ok. I've had several where the fuse broke inside near one end and they looked just fine.

Check the voltage output from the regulator; it may be buggered and putting out way too much voltage. This happened to me and I kept losing the lights because it was blowing fuses. Also the turn signal/hi beam switch may be worn and will sometimes blow fuses if signaling with the hi beams on. this is on a 77 so it may be different on you 79. Good luck! Crap, but I hate automotive electrical systems!
