Ok, so i'm 21 years old and i just graduated from college this spring and I moved home for a few moths to kinda get on my feet. Well, I moved out in mid July and got a 1 bed room apt and I decided to bring up those little 1/64th scale farm stuff. Ya know the ones that are like 3 inches long. Anyway, i went to the lumberyard and bought some stuff to make a table about 3 feet high to set them on. So now about anytime I see my mother, she has to let me know that "it really isn't right for a 21 year old to be playing with farm toys" What do ya think? Myself I take it as cheap entertainment while im kinda getting out on my own. Oh, and by the way, I did grow up on a dairy farm so I got most of the equipment and whatnow :D Ill try to get some pics

No...If you collect them. But if you try and plow the "back forty" on the dining room table, you got some issues that may require therapy.
Die Cast collecting is quite popular and if i see another Dale Earnhardt 1:24 scale replica, i think i'll shoot myself.
I do wish i still had my old Hot Wheels that i had back in the late 60's.

1st of all if you are into and own a LUV and visit this site, then YES! We are all crazy! :smt036

I agree with Blue Meanie, even if you occasionally are moving them into different positions and set ups it's ok. But if you are sitting on the floor and making engine sounds with your mouth and there's not a 6 year old kid there (your son or nephew) that is pretend farming with you, well then ... it might be time to grow up.

And then again maybe that IS your therapy to help de-stress from the worlds real problems. Most guys go for a beer and a game on TV, you play Hot wheels and Matchbox farm. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I didn't consider the concept of stress-relief.
If you're happy with them and it keeps you from shooting up a convenience store at 2:04 A.M., then so be it.

The mechanical detail of die cast vehicles is impressive. Kids play with them until they break, but adults are more focused on the mechanics of them.

Hell ya! The best part about havin' kids is that no one calls the cop's on ya fer lookin' around Toy's R' Us (At least when you remember to bring'em!)

Ain't a lot of cheap hobbies out there, and if you wana sit on the floor by yer self, push a tiny tractor around and go "Brumm, Brumm, Errrrch!". Go for it! :D

Might be kinda hard bring'in chicks over though.......... 8O

Shoot us a pic' of yer "Little Farm"!

dude tear it up my grandfather used to have a model room, when i say room it was like 15'X15' of nothing but trains. a whole damn city with tunnels and all, needless to say i was so infactuacted with it. i now work for the railroad, union pacific to be exact and i love it, so live up your dream maybe some day you'll have a big ass farm with nothing but what you have for your models.

As a grown man that has lived over half a century...I can tell you there is nothing wrong with having some play time in your life.

I have 4 rc cars and trucks that I take to a local park and raise hell with and a buddy of mine has 3 rc planes that he flies there too.

I have my model collections too that I have had for years...and they are a great source of cheap therapy on stressful days.

When people ask me if I'm ever going to grow up...I tell them that I see no future in that.. so I intend on playing untill the day they plant me.

There is nothing wrong with having a few toys around and having some play time in your life...it keeps you sane.

You just keep doing what makes you happy....it's good harmless fun.

We're all that way on this site. A group of people that are zeroed in on a little truck that is no longer made. The concept of them has faded away. And 95% of us will exhausts all avenues to keep them.
And if anyone tries to convice us to eliminate this truck from our lives, they have become a problem and not the solution.

8) I have been through three of them and something always is taking me back to them. Almost everyone I know think they are a waste of time. but the more people dont like them and the less of them i see the more attached i am. I like things that not everyone else likes

My LUV is a toy to me, I really don't care to hear people tell me that I should have built something else. I don't care if it is models,LUV's, or airplanes, if you like it and enjoy it, screw what others think or say.

(by know means is this a consent for a hobby like Michael Jackson's)
