I lined up a job with a defense contractor and they WILL require drug screening. I got a confirmed start date and i'm chomping at the bit to get back to work. My friend from my days at Lockheed wants to go there too but he has a problem, He has a previous bad drug test result. Ted is a sharp dude when it comes to aircraft electrical work but he's thinking that his previous test hit from awhile back will bite him in the ass if he tries (that was about 9-10 years ago).
I dont know squat on how this works. Is there a record if you have had a previous bad hit on a drug screen?
It would be cool to see Ted get a solid job again so if anyone knows anything about this stuff, let me know.

unless its for the same company, other companys cant access that information under the hipa law. so if i was you tell him to go for it and if some how it gets back to them. he has a law suit under the privacy act.

Funny... High school was a long time ago for me. I get tested every time i go to a new jobsite. The way i see it, if they want to piss test me, ok! If they want to pay me 20 bucks an hour to piss in a cup, that's just fine. I've been tested in all kinds of ways. Some places just hand you a cup and point you toward the restroom and others that require you to strip down and put on a hospital gown as to make sure you're not able to swap out or contaminate the sample.
I just dont know if they have records available from previous testing. Ted is a good dude that knows his stuff when it comes to aircraft. I'm going to try and get him to apply for the job. I took my test here locally so Ted will have to do the same. This way, he doesn't have to quit his job until he's sure he has the job.
His past error cant haunt him forever.

I tstarted at the school district for me and carried on to a chilled water rental company i worked for but there was this company that i had a card for that had a file on me . I could show this card and put it on my aplication and they could check how long I had been tested and all my results . It was an extra point type thing. There should not be a data base .

That PUSSY!!! He doesn't want to try for the job because he doesn't want to leave his ex. She's stepping all over his dick and he's quietly taking her abuse.

Another friend named Greg (Lockheed again) wants to go to Amarillo. He burned bridges on his way out. So he's on Lockheed's Shit list. He's got a job delivering lost baggage for the Greenville SC airport and the concept of working aircraft again has got him pumped. He's never worked with Ted but that didn't stop me from ragging on his ass to Greg. Greg has separated from his wife and he loves the idea of putting distance between them.

One wants to stay in his own little prison and the other is running towards freedom.

I just got f*cked on a piss test, lost my aircraft job about a month ago!! By law they cannot say shit! It's illegal and thay can get sued for it. When companies call past jobs they can only ask 3 questions, When you started, how much you got paid and if you would rehire them. In my case he would have to say no but he can't say why. Luckily i'm still cool with the boss so he would give me high ratings if anyone called.
I've worked for this damn company for 5 years. I smoke but Don't drink. i've never damaged anything on the airfield, never called off, loved the job and the pot never interfeared with the job. I actually got a random on my 5 year reveiw. He was really happy with me a gave me a 2 dollar raise! At the end of the meeting he popped me for a random. From there i knew i was fucked. I was on 2 week vacation waiting for the test results to come back. 2 days into he called me in and i was done. he didn't want to fire me but he had no choice when it came to the insurrance company
It's okay though, I had a new job before i even got fired. worked with them for the month and loved the people and work. Just 2 days ago i drove my family all the way to Cincinnati Ohio to start a new life! It's lookin good so far !!
Its my own time when i'm not working! It doesn't affect how i work so it's none of thier DAMN BUSINESS what i do in my offtime
