Anyone know what color the 1.8 block was in 79 or 80 ? Got my 80 skined down to the bone! Not sure what color to paint it. Preferably not psychedelic...did i spell that right?

Mine was 10w40 color!! :lol: Underneath it though, I am thinking it was black also, it was a 78.

Yeah it is a pretty powerful color, the whole motor looks really bright like that. I was at the parts store today and saw some neon green engine paint, it was kinda cool looking, but I'm not sure I would paint mine that color....I always build my motors to the original color.

Anyways, my buddys is a 79 and the original block color on it was black.

i painted my motor chevy performance orange red. Its not too bright but is a realy good contrast to the back truck and looks realy cool.

cool.. on the 15th of this month i painted the block chevy red. I like it! Thanks for the color thought!
