well i kow that isuzu shoudnt have use the gm th200 behind the g180. its like trying to move a 68 coup deville with a 283. aint gonna work well.

on the other hand, the pup will still do a nice power brake on some smooth concrete. lol

About a year ago I was on vacation for a few days in Ocean Shores, Washington and there was a couple that was also down there goofing off that had a 2wd shortbed with an automatic that had a beefed-up four-banger that could light up it's tires pretty good.

I don't know if they did anything to beef up the automatic tranny...but it was pretty impressive to see a Luv with a four-banger and an automatic tranny that had some serious power.

But without doing what that guy did...that is building a de-smogged g200 motor with a g180 head, adding a custom cam, electronic ignition, offy intake , a weber, and a header with a decent exhaust system...the poor little stock g180 with it's stock POS hitachi carb just isn't packing around enough ponies to get the job done.
