Just bought a '77 Luv and am in the beginning process of doing a SBC swap.

From the LUVTruck.com's 'Beer Budget' technical article they suggest the Howe Unversal Aluminum Radiator (#HOW.342B). I also found 2 other radiators the same size that appear to fit the size requirements are cost slightly lower.

-SIMMIT- Griffon GRI-1-25182-X 189.99
-JEGS- #555-51185 & #555-51171 $169.99

Has anyone used them or know if they're worth the few bucks in savings?

Thanks in advance.

-Scott

Speedwaymotors.com sells one for 149.95 19" X 22"

http://www.speedwaymotors.com/xq/aspx/p ... roduct.htm

The only real setback is that these will require a trans cooler if you run with an automatic.

I used the same size Griffin radiator and the trans cooler is no problem just fab a bracket and put it behind the licence plate I even used the same bolts just make sure there is as much clerence as possible all the way around the cooler.

Measure the length and size of the hose you need and go to the parts store. They got to have a flex hose hanging on the rack that will work.

I have a flex hose on mine it will work but it is TIGHT. Make sure you clear fuel pump and fuel line. I put a little extra padding on mine for just in case.
